Young South Africans have immense potential – they just need the right preparation and genuine opportunities to succeed.
We saw too many talented school leavers struggling to make the transition into work, not because they lack ability, but because they hadn’t received practical, honest guidance about what the workplace actually requires. At the same time, we heard from corporates who were frustrated by high training drop-out rates, high early attrition rates and the challenge of finding reliable entry-level talent.
So we built Team Ready to bridge that gap.
Our Founder Story
“The idea for Team Ready grew from personal experience. As someone who has spent years in recruitment, hiring and people development, I witnessed firsthand how many promising young people were overlooked — not for lack of talent, but because they simply didn’t know how to translate their potential into workplace success.
I also saw the other side: companies genuinely wanting to hire and develop local youth, but struggling with
the cost and risk of early attrition.This disconnect felt unnecessary. With the right practical preparation, both sides could win. That realisation led me to create Team Ready — a service that combines real hiring insight with caring, hands-on coaching.
My goal has always been to build something authentic: programmes that respect the dignity and potential of every young participant, while delivering genuine value to the organisations that hire them.”
